This 2010 50p was released to celebrate 100 years of the Girl Guides movement.
The Girl Guide movement was founded by Robert Baden-Powell in 1910 as an accompaniment to the Boy Scout movement founded three years earlier in 1907 and led by Robert's sister, Agnes Baden-Powell.
The design features a repeating pattern that represents the three leaves of the trefoil and so the threefold Promise of the Guides – duty to God or religion, duty to country and keeping the Guide Law
This highly collectible circulated coin is presented in an exclusive Koin Club blister card, ready to add to your collection.
